While looking into opportunities to rally the community and gain support for Meals on Wheels, it became clear that North Clackamas lacked an event that truly showcased its burgeoning craft wineries, breweries and distilleries. The idea was set! Clackamas On Tap & Uncorked would create an event to celebrate all that North Clackamas has to offer, while also supporting local business and helping vulnerable populations in our community.
With the concept in motion, staff from Friends of the Milwaukie Center and North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD), which operates the Milwaukie Center, quickly got to planning to make this vision a reality. Several members of the Milwaukie Center’s Community Advisory Board, Friends of the Milwaukie Center Board, and other volunteers soon joined in, and the event committee was formed.
Local wineries, breweries and distilleries were luckily quick to sign on, along with the support of other local business and community partners. Clackamas County On Tap and Uncorked was well on its way.
With the event now successfully in its second year, we look forward to further growing Clackamas County On Tap & Uncorked into a regional draw.
